BridjAi is early local-first software. This page publishes the active package metadata, checksum, startup behavior, and known requirements so you can decide whether to install it.

What to expect

Current alpha startup requirements

Operating system
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
Start the app
Extract the downloaded package, open the folder, and double-click BridjAi.exe. Your browser opens to BridjAi automatically.
Alternative launcher
Start BridjAi.bat can launch the same extracted app. It does not change Windows signing or security checks. Still stuck? See TROUBLESHOOTING.txt inside the package.
To stop BridjAi
Open Settings in the app and choose "Quit BridjAi".
AI analysis
AI analysis runs through your own OpenAI API key. Keys saved through BridjAi are encrypted for the current Windows user. Before your first build, the app helps you add a key and test the connection without sending your files.
PowerPoint decks
Visual reading of .pptx files currently requires Microsoft PowerPoint desktop on Windows.

Before you run it

What installation looks like

The current alpha isn't code-signed yet, so Windows treats it as software from an unknown publisher and may warn you before it runs. That warning is Windows being appropriately cautious about unsigned software. Before you decide to run it, you can check that the download is genuinely ours.

Windows may show the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen dialog and identify BridjAi as an app from an unknown publisher.

Before you run anything, confirm the download matches the published checksum. In PowerShell:

Get-FileHash .\bridjai-alpha-b15-windows-x64.zip -Algorithm SHA256

The output must match the SHA-256 above exactly. If it doesn't, delete the file and email support@bridjai.com.

Do not continue if Windows Defender quarantines the executable.

A code-signed build is planned before the wider release.

Local-first

Local workbench, direct AI analysis.

Original files, generated source copies, notes, and finished folders remain on your computer. The public website handles alpha signup, email verification, release metadata, and secure download delivery; it does not receive the documents you process in BridjAi.

Topic mapping may send short excerpts from added files that are not yet sorted. Close analysis sends only selected extracted text, standalone images, and rendered page or slide images. Source-backed notes and claims may go to OpenAI or, when you choose it for synthesis, Anthropic. Review those services' terms and your Windows sync settings before using sensitive material. The secure download link is temporary and requires an entitled account.
