BridjAi is early local-first software. This page publishes the active package metadata, checksum, startup behavior, and known requirements so you can decide whether to install it.

What to expect

Current alpha startup requirements

Operating system
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
Start the app
Extract the downloaded package, open the folder, and double-click BridjAi.exe. Your browser opens to BridjAi automatically.
If the app doesn't start
Double-click Start BridjAi.bat in the same folder — it opens BridjAi and closes itself. Still stuck? See TROUBLESHOOTING.txt inside the package.
To stop BridjAi
Open Settings in the app and choose "Quit BridjAi".
AI analysis
AI analysis runs through your own OpenAI API key, configured inside the app and stored only on your computer. BridjAi asks for it before the first build and walks you through creating one.
PowerPoint decks
Visual reading of .pptx files currently requires Microsoft PowerPoint desktop on Windows.

Before you run it

What installation looks like

The current alpha isn't code-signed yet, so Windows treats it as software from an unknown publisher and may warn you before it runs. That warning is Windows being appropriately cautious about unsigned software — here's how to check the download is genuinely ours before you decide to run it.

Windows may show the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen dialog and identify BridjAi as an app from an unknown publisher.

Before you run anything, confirm the download matches the published checksum. In PowerShell:

Get-FileHash .\bridjai-alpha-b9-windows-x64.zip -Algorithm SHA256

The output must match the SHA-256 above exactly. If it doesn't, delete the file and email support@bridjai.com.

Do not continue if Windows Defender quarantines the executable.

A code-signed build is planned before the wider release.

Local-first

Your project files stay on your computer.

The public website handles alpha signup, email verification, release metadata, and secure download delivery. It does not receive the documents you process in BridjAi.

Compare the downloaded package against the SHA-256 value above before extracting it. The secure download link is temporary and requires an entitled email account.
